Coast Guard Weekend
Camp Rilea - Warrenton, OR

I have reserved billeting and made mess arrangements at
Camp Rilea in Warrenton, OR for a Coast Guard weekend
in and around the Astoria Area.  I have room for 48
cadets/adults.  Training will take place March 18-20, 2011.

Training will consist of:
Tour of CG Air Station Astoria, including HH-60s, speaking
to pilots, rescue swimmers and aircraft mechanics.
Tour of CGC FIR a buoy tender that services aids to
navigation along the Columbia river and the surrounding
area.
Tour of CG Station Cape Disappointment, see a 47 foot
MLB and learn about the most hazardous waters in the U.S.
Tour of the Columbia River Maritime Museum.

Morning PT, Team Building, and a movie are also on the
agenda.

This training is still tentative!

I am awaiting funding approval from NHQ, once approved I
will send out the detailed agenda and sea bag list.

Officers;  I will not be renting a van or providing
transportation.  We will be driving to most of the tours so if
you bring cadets you will have to stay with them to
transport them to the various training sites.

Berthing;  I have reserved four 12 person bunk rooms for a
total of 48 people.  If you are submitting for billets I need
to know how many males and females both officer and
cadet will be attending.

Please forward to officers/cadets that would be interested
in attending.
